TheIndonesia.id - As an annual event, Penglipuran Village Festival will be held again at Penglipuran Tourism Village, Bali, on December 7-11, 2021.
The theme of the festival is "Green Destination Based on CHSE." CHSE stands for Clean, Health, Safety, and Environment Sustainability. So, the meaning of this year's theme is to create green destinations that are environmentally friendly by implementing hygiene, health, security, and environmental sustainability protocols.
Bangli Regent Sang Nyoman Sedana Arta, in his press release on Wednesday, said that Penglipuran Tourism Village is the best tourist village in Bangli. Panglipuran has won various national and international awards as one of the cleanest villages in the world.
The festival's opening was marked by the Deputy for Tourism Products and Event Organizers of the Ministry of Tourism, Rizki Handayani Mustafa, who beat the Kul-Kul (pavilion drum). There were also Bangli Regent, Head of the Bali Provincial Tourism Office, Head of the Bangli Regency Dekranasda Sariasih Sedana Arta, Member of the Coordination Forum of Regional Leaders of Bangli Regency, and Chair of the Penglipuran Village Festival 2021 Committee.
The Regent added that the "CHSE-Based Green Destination" theme was very appropriate in the tourism situation amid a pandemic. Health and safety are essential aspects of the tourism industry.
Applying strict health protocols in a tourist destination has become an absolute requirement today.
So far, the concept of tourism development has only focused on the increasing quantity, which often ignores the quality and environment.
"Hopefully, the Penglipuran Village Festival can revive the tourism and the creative economy sector," said the Regent.
The Chairperson of the Penglipuran Village Festival 2021 Committee, I Nengah Sudibia, said the festival features various competitions and a cultural parade such as the Nilem Parade, Ngusaba Bantal, Ngaturang Utpeti, Barong Ngelawang, and a dance performance titled "The Death of the Knights in Penglipuran Village." There is also an exhibition of Small and Medium Enterprises products and Bonsai trees.
