General Manager of I Gusti Ngurah Rai International Airport, Herry Sikado, said that the Jetstar Airways flight number JQ 043 made its first landing at 13:39 WITA carrying 271 passengers. "This regular flight on the Melbourne-Bali-Melbourne route is a positive hope for the aviation industry by getting additional flight routes using the Jetstar Airways airline," Herry said in a statement monitored by Antara in Jakarta, Tuesday, March 15, 2022.
Herry revealed that Jetstar Airways' inaugural flight used a Boeing 787-8 Dreamliner with a capacity of 335 passengers including business class. Jetstar Airways flights will operate every Monday at 12.45 Bali time for arrivals and depart again on Tuesdays for Melbourne at 22.30 Bali time.
"This means that it will fly once a week and at the same time add international flight routes that are served by 5 routes, namely Melbourne, Singapore, Kuala Lumpur, Sydney, and Narita," he said.
