TheIndonesia.id - A public health center officer detected a man from Pademangan, Jakarta, who was confirmed positive for the Omicron variant of COVID-19 after undergoing a 10-day quarantine at the Fraser Residence Hotel, Menteng, Central Jakarta.
"After he finished quarantine, then returned home, COVID symptoms appeared. He checked and it turned out to be COVID. After checking the variant, it turned out to be Omicron," said the Head of the Individual Health Efforts Implementing Unit for the Menteng Sub-district Health Center, Jonathan Aditama, when confirmed by Antara in Jakarta, Monday, January 10, 2022.
After being declared exposed to Omicron, the man was treated by the Pademangan District Health Center and faced isolation at the COVID-19 Emergency Hospital Wisma Atlet Kemayoran.
"It has been handled by the Pademangan team, to be referred to Wisma Atlet," said Jonathan.
Jonathan said officers detected a variant of COVID-19, Omicron, at hotels in the Menteng and Cempaka Putih areas which were used as quarantine places for foreign travelers (PPLN). It was detected at C'One Hotel Cempaka Putih, Central Jakarta. The head of the Cempaka Putih Murni Sub-district Health Center L. Naibaho confirmed that the Omicron variant was found at the hotel.
However, he was reluctant to mention the number of Omicron findings. "Yes, indeed there are travel agents who have been detected, the Omicron variant itself, I do not have the data, because that is the domain of the (Health) Ministry," said Murni.
Fraser Residence Menteng and C'One Hotel Cempaka Putih are among the 72 hotels in Jakarta designated by the Ministry of Health as places of isolation or quarantine for foreign travelers.
