TheIndonesia.id - The COVID-19 Handling Task Force (Satgas) has issued a circular that regulates the mechanism for a travel bubble on the MotoGP agenda at the Mandalika Circuit, Lombok, West Nusa Tenggara on 18-22 March 2022.
"There will be a special bubble system in Lombok. So, the person who comes will not go anywhere, he comes to the airport, enters the hotel, watches MotoGP, returns to the hotel, goes to the airport again, so there is no interaction with other people," said Head of the COVID-19 Task Force, Lt. Gen. Suharyanto, in Jakarta, Friday night, February 4, 2022.
These rules have been stated in Circular No. 5 of 2022 concerning the Bubble System Health Protocol for the 2022 MotoGP Activities in Mandalika during the COVID-19 Pandemic, published February 3, 2022. The regulation states several provisions, including the players of the 2022 MotoGP bubble system in Mandalika who are officially registered as racers and officials entering the 2022 MotoGP bubble area in Mandalika through the international arrival entrance of Lombok Zainuddin Abdul Madjid International Airport.
Stakeholders of the bubble system, in addition to racers and officials with the status of foreigners and Indonesian citizens, can enter the MotoGP bubble area through the international arrival gate and are required to undergo a rapid PCR test. The task force also requires bubble system travelers from abroad to carry out centralized quarantine and get negative results on a repeat RT-PCR examination and a second RT-PCR examination to complete the quarantine.
The task force also divides the activities of bubble system travelers into two groups, namely racers and officials; and spectators, journalists, VVIPs, and officers or committees.
Other protocols that must be fulfilled by MotoGP travel bubble travelers are showing a physical or digital card or certificate having received a complete dose of COVID-19 vaccine at least 14 days before departure and showing negative results through an RT-PCR examination whose samples were taken within a maximum period of 2 x 24 hours before departure time.
Meanwhile, foreign travelers except for supporting staff are required to meet the requirements for a visit visa or other entry permit following the provisions of the applicable laws and regulations. Foreigners in addition to supporting staff are also required to show proof of ownership of health insurance with a minimum coverage value of USD 25,000 which includes financing for handling COVID-19 and medical evacuation to a referral hospital.
Support personnel who are confirmed positive for COVID-19 with moderate or severe symptoms, isolation, or treatment at a referral hospital is carried out with the entire cost being borne independently for foreigners or borne by the government for Indonesian citizens.
While in the 2022 MotoGP bubble system area in Mandalika, participants are only allowed to interact with people who are in one bubble group, carry out activities in predetermined zones at each facility or infrastructure within the bubble area in Mandalika, undergo rapid antigen test examinations routinely every day, reporting to health workers in the bubble system area when experiencing symptoms related to COVID-19 for RT-PCR examination.
