TheIndonesia.id - Minister of Tourism and Creative Economy Sandiaga Uno stated that the organization of music and creative economy events could already be held on conditions that health protocols and complete vaccinations were implemented. The government sees the COVID-19 pandemic is under control.
"The President (Joko Widodo/Jokowi) attended himself and ordered us and the Police that music and other creative economy events be facilitated to obtain permits," Uno said when visiting the Joyland Festival March 25-27 2022 at Taman Bhagawan Nusa Dua, Bali.
In an official statement in Jakarta, Saturday night, he admitted that President Jokowi had ordered to facilitate music events and the creative economy licenses considering that for the past two years music lovers and artists in Indonesia had been eager to hold concerts.
A singer, Raisa, was stated to have asked to hold the first female solo concert at Gelora Bung Karno (GBK). "This certainly opens a new spirit," said the minister.
If every spectator has implemented health protocols and carried out booster vaccinations, Uno considers this industry to be more vibrant so that it can generate economic growth and create jobs. "The President's direction for this music concert is now operational. We will discuss the restrictions on audiences later with the organizers. The important thing is that the vaccine is complete, the booster is better," he said.
Minister Uno also invited activity organizers and actors in the creative economy sector to initiate activities. If there are difficulties in carrying out the activities that have been designed, he stressed, the Ministry of Tourism and Creative Economy is willing to facilitate these efforts.
Joyland is an arts and culture festival with selected activities and entertainment such as musical performances, film screenings, creative workshops, comedy, and markets.
