TheIndonesia.id - Two people in Jambi province have died in the last month due to tiger attacks with the latest one killed a construction worker in Kumpeh Ilir subdistrict, Muaro Jambi regency.
According to chief of Muaro Jambi police Pol. Grand Commissioner Adjutant Yuyan Priatmaja, the construction worker was attacked by Sumatran tiger on Tuesday, April 19, at around 8.25 p.m. local time at the location of PT Putraduta Indah Wood (PDIW).
The body of the victim had been evacuated and brought to his family.
Public relations of PT TPJ first announced the news and revealed that the victim was 19-year-old worker Bima, who went to the bushes to defecate when a tiger suddenly attacked and killed him.
Other workers helped evacuating the body, and the tiger is reportedly still at large.
Upon the report, Kumpeh Ilir police deployed a team to the location and coordinate with Natural Resources Conservation (BKSDA) Jambi to locate the animal.
It was also reported that BKSDA Jambi has installed CCTV nearby the location of the attack.
Previously, tiger attack also killed a worker from Riau Firdaus (42) on March 25.
