TheIndonesia.id - The state-owned airline PT Merpati Nusantara Airlines (Persero) or Merpati Airlines was officially declared bankrupt by the Surabaya Commercial Court which was explained in decision no. 5/Pdt.Sus-Cancellation of Conciliation/2022/PN.Niaga.Sby, June 2, 2022. Previously, PT Perusahaan Pengelola Aset (Persero) had submitted a request to cancel the Conciliation of Suspension of Debt Payment Obligations (PKPU) against Merpati Airlines.
Citing an official statement from the Surabaya Commercial Court, first, the applicant's request was granted. Second, Merpati Airlines is considered negligent to fulfill the contents of the conciliation agreement which has been legalized by the conciliation Ratification Decision Number: 04/Pdt.Sus-PKPU/2018/PN.Niaga.Sby dated November 14, 2018.
In addition, the conciliation decision (homologation) of the Commercial Court at the Surabaya District Court Number: 04/PDt.Sus-PKPU/2018/PN.Niaga.Sby on November 14 2018 was also annulled. "Declare the respondent or PT Merpati Nusantara Airlines (Persero) Bankrupt with all the legal consequences," the Court wrote in an official statement.
In addition, he also appointed Imran Nating, Muhamad Arifudin, Mohamad Rangga Afianto, Hertri Widayanti, Herlin Susanto as Curators and Managers of the bankruptcy process of PT Merpati Nusantara Airlines. Number: 4/Pdt.Sus-PKPU/2018/PN.Niaga.Sby dated June 6, 2022, the meeting schedules have been set as follows: First Creditors Meeting on Thursday, June 16, 2022, at 09.00 WIB at the Commercial Court at the Surabaya District Court, then the deadline for claims is Thursday (30/6/2022).
