Peruri signed a deal to print Sri Lankan passports

TheIndonesia.id - Peruri is again trusted to print 1 million Sri Lankan passport books in 2022 worth Rp31 billion (US$2.1 million) through the signing of a cooperation agreement signed in Jakarta, on June 10, 2022. For 20 years Peruri has been trusted by the Sri Lankan Government to print the country's passports, with a total of more than 10 million passport books and nine contract signings.

"The signing of this cooperation shows that Peruri is internationally recognized for its product quality and ability to carry out strategic projects from foreign countries," said Peruri Operations Director Saiful Bahri in a written statement in Jakarta, Wednesday, June 15, 2022.

The agreement was signed by Peruri Operations Director Saiful Bahri and Epic Lanka Executive Chairman Nayana Dehigama.

Epic Lanka is a Sri Lankan company appointed by the Sri Lankan Department of Immigration and Emigration to work on the Sri Lankan passport-making project. Passport printing is very important to help Sri Lankans travel internationally, for example in order to find work abroad to drive the country's economy or on business trips for state officials to improve international relations between countries.

Apart from printing Sri Lankan passports, Peruri also prints Nepalese banknotes, Nepalese stamps, Nepalese excise stamps, Philippine stamps, and Peruvian banknotes. Peruri continues increasing the competence of human resources and machinery to compete in the global arena.

"In the future, Peruri is committed to developing digital-based hybrid printed products to add value to a product through improving security features and maintaining quality," said Saiful.
