TheIndonesia.id - President Joko Widodo (Jokowi) stated that no problems with water and electricity were encountered during his overnight stay for the first time at Nusantara City (IKN) Presidential Palace on Sunday night (July 28).
"There are no problems, abundant water, electricity is okay," the president noted while giving a press statement at the IKN, North Penajam Paser District, East Kalimantan, on Monday.
In addition to water and electricity, the president revealed that the internet network at the IKN Presidential Palace is also running smoothly.
"The internet is good," the president stated, as quoted by Antara.
Furthermore, the head of state remarked that construction of the IKN Presidential Palace is still ongoing, and the progress is good.
Jokowi stated on Monday that he will also hold a meeting at the President's office.
However, the president stated that he could not yet invite journalists, as several people are still working so that their work would not be affected.
"There is still cleaning and finishing. Everything is still in good progress," the president remarked.
President Jokowi will hold an inaugural meeting at the IKN with the IKN Authority (OIKN) and the East Kalimantan Regional Leadership Coordination Forum (Forkopimda).
Deputy for Protocol, Press, and Media of the Presidential Secretariat Yusuf Permana conveyed this in a statement received in North Penajam Paser, East Kalimantan, Monday.
"He plans on a meeting with OIKN accompanied by the state secretary and PUPR minister. He will then also receive the East Kalimantan Forkopimda," Permana remarked.
He noted that the meeting at the IKN Palace will be conducted in the same way as those at the Presidential Palace in Jakarta.
"This morning, the president will receive guests and audiences and hold meetings in the President's office at the Presidential Office at the IKN, like the daily events when he works at the Merdeka Palace in Jakarta," Permana stated.
