Inspirational Story of an Old Man who Donated His Land to a Church (Facebook)

TheIndonesia.id - A story of an old man who gave his land to a church successfully got public attention. He gave his land to a church in Minahasa even he was not a Christian.

The Facebook account Welly Pudihang Sendow shared the story. The old man's name is Robo Lahma or known as Mr. Ade Rabo. He lived in Arakan Village, Tatapan, South Minahasa, North Sulawesi, Indonesia.

The video showed the moment when the man gave his land certificate to the priest. He wore a simple Batik shirt and a traditional hat.

The land where the church was built on top of it belongs to the old man. He genuinely gave the land certificate for granted to the church.

The Facebook users were inevitably touched by his generosity and kindness.

"Mr. Ade Robo has taught us to learn to be a 'real human.' His kindness proves that he loves his fellow human beings," he said.

He also said that Mr. Ade Robo is a devout Muslim. "However, he is very familiar with Christ's teachings, 'Love every human being' because he has lived surrounded by his Christian family," one Facebook user commented.

The old man's kindness stole the netizens' attention. They praised him and gave several comments.

"It's amazing that even though they don't have the same faith, God used this man to be a blessing," said the netizen.

"Giving your land for granted, I hope God will bless you. It's extraordinary, Mr. Robo. May God gives long life to you and your family," replied the netizen.

"What a great example. God bless Mr. Robo with his family," commented the netizen.

"This man has a good heart and tolerance. He also has a high spirit of nationalism for the nation. His goal is to create peace between others. In the history of Indonesia, this is the first time a Muslim has donated his land to the church. Kudos to this man. This situation might be hard in other places in Indonesia, such as Aceh. The church will be complicated to get land and permission," said another netizen.
