TheIndonesia.id - Telkomsel, a subsidiary of the State-Owned Enterprise PT Telkom, through tSurvey.id research found that three of the five platforms preferred by MSME traders to sell online were local platforms.
"These findings are a reflection of the importance of satisfying experiences and services for respondents so that they can be considered for online trading market platform players to make business decisions in the future, especially in the midst of intense competition between platforms," said Vice President Data Solutions Telkomsel Alfian Manullang, in a press release, quoted by Antara on Friday, August 5, 2022.
Telkomsel survey of Utilization of the Most Trusted and Reliable Online Trade Market (e-commerce) by Indonesian MSMEs in 2022, found the platforms trusted by MSMEs for selling online are Tokopedia (76 percent), Shopee (75 percent), Lazada (19 percent), Bukalapak (18 percent) and Blibli (14 percent).
The survey also found that the five platforms that provide the most satisfying experience for selling online, with details on the performance, are Tokopedia at 69 percent, Shopee at 62 percent, Lazada at 11 percent, Bukalapak at 9 percent, and Blibli at 4 percent. For the online sales platform category satisfactorily, Tokopedia is still number one with 68 percent, Shopee at 61 percent, Lazada at 11 percent, Bukalapak at 11 percent, and Blibli at 6 percent.
Meanwhile, the categories that MSMEs use the most to sell online are Tokopedia (47 percent), Shopee (45 percent), Lazada (5 percent), Bukalapak (2 percent), and Blibli (0 percent).
This market research is based on mobile phone users with Telkomsel cellular numbers, involving 1,000 respondents from MSMEs throughout Indonesia from 10 to 24 June 2022. The demographics of respondents from Jakarta, Bogor, Depok, Tangerang, and Bekasi amounted to 60 percent, while respondents from Java Island excluded Jakarta, Bogor, Depok, Tangerang, and Bekasi by 30 percent.
As many as 10 percent of respondents came from outside the island of Java. In terms of gender, 60 percent of respondents are male and 40 percent female.
