TheIndonesia.id - PT Pembangunan Jaya Ancol Tbk is set to host a series of special events for the Lunar Chinese New Year holiday under the theme "Ancol Lunar Festival 2025", according to Antara News Agency.

"Chinese New Year is always a special occasion for the Chinese community worldwide, including in Jakarta," said Ariyadi Eko Nugroho, Corporate Communication of PT Pembangunan Jaya Ancol Tbk, on Wednesday in Jakarta.

He noted that Ancol Taman Impian, as a top tourist destination, will offer a variety of vibrant celebrations and attractions to celebrate cultural diversity, making it a must-visit during the holiday.

Ancol Beach will be the first destination to embrace the Chinese New Year spirit, particularly in the Lagoon Beach area. Visitors can enjoy the beautiful beach, transformed into a colorful festival with special Chinese New Year decorations. "The Lion Dance and Dragon Dance will perform at the Plaza Lagoon area, Symphony of The Sea," he said.

Visitors will have the chance to witness the lively performances of table lion dance and dragon dance, accompanied by traditional drum music. Following these, a music performance will fill the beachfront atmosphere, and visitors can also take part in the "Gerebek Angpao" event after the lion dance show.

Dufan Ancol will also bring the Chinese New Year vibe with special events such as the "Kungfu Show" at the Indoor Ice Age stage and the "Grand Chinese New Year Parade," featuring Barongsai Tonggak and Dragon Dance performances.

"Don't miss the special Bian Lian Show, where performers will dazzle the audience with beautiful fan dances, along with the Angpao Giveaway program featuring Ancol's newest robot, Flippy, later in the afternoon," he added.

At Sea World Ancol, visitors can experience attractions in the main aquarium, which is six meters deep and home to thousands of fish. They can also interact with Sea World’s lovable character, Sharky, who will be accompanied by one of Ancol's robots, Twirly, during the "Meet and Greet" session.

Lucky visitors will also receive Angpao during the "Feeding Show" at the main aquarium.

Samudra Ancol will present exciting underwater performances, featuring a dragon collaborating with a mermaid in the Underwater Theater. A dragon dance will also be performed at Dolphin Adventures, where guests can interact with adorable sea lions. Samudra will also distribute Angpao with Dolphi, the mascot.

At Jakarta Bird Land Ancol, the Chinese New Year atmosphere will fill the air with decorations and performances of smart birds adorned in traditional Chinese ornaments. Visitors can also admire Mandarin Ducks, known as symbols of love, and enjoy special shows featuring predatory birds.

This year’s Chinese New Year celebrations coincide with the first long weekend of 2025. "Visitors will be treated to a wide range of entertainment and special attractions during this holiday," Ariyadi concluded.
