TheIndonesia.co - The Karma Bali Beach Restaurant in Ungasan, South Kuta Badung, was engulfed in flames on 14 November 2021 at around 00.30 AM WITA. The security guard of Ungasan village, who was on guard at Melasti Beach, initially discovered the fire in the private restaurant.
The guard saw a fire in the Karma Beach Bali Restaurant Area. After seeing the fire, they went straight to the hotspot.
"The guard tried to go down to set off the fire by using a ladder. Then they reported the fire to the HRD staff of Karma Kandara Resort," said the Head of Public Relations of Denpasar Police, Iptu I Ketut Sukadi, to the reporter.
Soon after witnessing the fire, the guard reported it to the Human Resource Development Staff of Karma Kandara Resort. The staff immediately called the Badung fire Department to prevent the fire from spreading further.

"Thankfully, there were no casualties, but the restaurant building was completely burned down. The loss is still under calculation from the restaurant management," said Ketut Sukadi. There is another building being destroyed.
The police are still investigating the cause of the fire. The police have questioned several witnesses in the area where the incident occurred.
The fire was brought under control at around 06.10 AM WITA, with extinguishers available at the location. The firefighters mobilized the assistance of 6 units of Firefighters.
"There are obstacles in the location. We have difficulties extinguishing the fire because the road access is not big enough for the truck to go to the location," said Sukadi.
The entire roof of the building was made of reeds which caused the fire to spread easily and devour the entire restaurant building quickly.
