5 Moldovans, a Russian Detained by Bali Immigration for Trespassing

TheIndonesia.id - The Immigration Detention Center in Denpasar, Bali, detained six foreign nationals from Moldova and Russia for causing trouble and disturbing the local community in the Mengwi area, Badung, Bali. They were also reported for cases of trespassing.

"The six foreigners were reported for disturbing the surroundings in Mengwi, Badung. The foreigners forced their way into a villa belonging to a resident without permission from the owner and admitted that the villa belonged to them," said Head of the Regional Office of the Ministry of Law and Human Rights, Bali, Jamaruli Manihuruk, in a press release in Denpasar, Bali, Friday, April 8, 2022.

Five foreigners from the Republic of Moldova are DD (44), EE (31), EE (35), AE (5), and DM (10). A Russian with the initials AD (24). They consist of two adult men, two women adults, and two small children. They were then taken and temporarily placed in the Denpasar Immigration Detention Center.

"The six foreigners were uncooperative with the officers because they did not respond to the officers' questions and did not want to show their passports and residence permits," he said.

Five Moldovan nationals hold visit stay permits and the Russian citizen holds limited stay permits for investors. They are now threatened with being deported from Indonesian territory.

Manihuruk said that currently the person concerned has been facilitated to communicate with the Moldovan State Embassy in Tokyo, Japan, to help find a solution regarding their deportation. Meanwhile, the Russian citizen is in the process of coordinating with the Russian Embassy in Jakarta.
