TheIndonesia.co - Class I Immigration Check Point Denpasar, Bali, confiscated a passport belonging to a Canadian named Jeffrey Douglas Craigen for making a video without clothes in the Mount Batur area, Kintamani, Bangli Regency, Bali. Immigration asks for a guarantor to contact the Immigration office immediately.
"The foreigner's passport was immediately secured by the Immigration Intelligence and Enforcement Section Team of the Denpasar Immigration Office and asked the guarantor to contact the foreigner to cooperate with him in coming to the Denpasar Immigration Office on Monday (April 25)," said Head of the Regional Office of the Ministry of Law and Human Rights, Bali, Jamaruli Manihuruk in a press release on Monday.
He said that the team investigated the identity of the party who was the guarantor of the foreigner. The team then contacted the guarantor and found that the foreigner Jeffrey Douglas Craigen was re-applying the OnShore Visa for Visiting Stay Permit and the passport in question was with the guarantor. The officers immediately secured the passport.
Jamaruli said that if from the results of the examination, the foreigner is proven to have committed a violation, then an immigration administrative action will be given in the form of deportation as referred to in Article 75 paragraph (1) of Law Number 6 of 2011 concerning Immigration. "We urge people throughout the province of Bali to proactively monitor and report various types of violations committed by foreigners to the authorities for strict action," he said.
He asked all foreigners visiting Bali to always behave in an orderly manner by respecting the law and cultural values of the Balinese people because any violation will be dealt with firmly in order to uphold the honor and authority of the state.
Previously on social media, it was viral a foreign national making disturbing videos which were allegedly made in the Mount Batur area, Kintamani, Bangli Regency. The video has caught the public's attention because it contradicts Indonesian culture, especially Balinese culture, which adheres to religious customs and norms.
