  1. Press and hold these three keys together: Shift, Command, and 3 to capture the entire screen of your Mac
  2. If you only need to capture a portion of your screen, press and hold Shift + Command + 4. it will change a cursor into a crosshair. Drag the crosshair to select the area of the screen to capture. To move the selection, press and hold the Space bar while dragging. To cancel taking the screenshot, press the Esc (Escape) key.
  3. To capture the entire window press and hold Shift +Command + 4 and then press the Space bar. The crosshair will change into a camera icon. To take a screenshot, click after highlighting various windows with your cursor. 

How to view screenshots on Mac?

The picture you have taken will automatically be saved to your desktop. You may access them by going to the desktop screen on your computer and viewing your saved pictures within.
