TheIndonesia.co - Logistics management and tracking startup McEasy received first-round funding of US$1.5 million or around Rp22 billion from East Ventures. McEasy, which provides Software-as-a-Service (SaaS)-based digital solutions, is hereby offering three innovative solutions to the problems of the logistics industry in Indonesia, Vehicle Smart Management System (VSMS), Transportation Management System (TMS), and Smart Driver Apps.
"With a more sophisticated logistics management infrastructure, we seek to address longstanding problems that have existed for years in Indonesia, especially the lack of integration between parties involved in the supply chain," said McEasy Co-founder Raymond Sutjiono, in a press statement quoted by Antara, Tuesday, December 21, 2021.
So far, most operating systems still use manual methods with complicated administration. "McEasy wants to bring the wind of digitalization change so that supply chain processes can run automatically, easier and more efficiently, for all parties involved."
VSMS is a digital solution to assist logistics operations and track vehicle location in real-time. Meanwhile, TMS is intelligent software for planning, executing, monitoring, and optimizing the delivery of goods in an integrated manner to make the whole process more efficient.

Through TMS, McEasy customers can track the vehicle's position and all operational costs transparently, without the hassle of checking it manually.
McEasy also uses a subscription-based business model and offers customized solutions to suit the customer's business scale, such as third-party logistics (3PL), fourth-party logistics (4PL), distributors, or brand companies.
Since there is a government regulation that requires public transportation to install an electronic vehicle movement monitoring device or Global Positioning System (GPS), many public transportation companies such as buses require GPS integration in the VSMS McEasy dashboard. McEasy facilitates GPS centralization with initially separate vendors so that everything is integrated through an application programming interface (API).
Since 2020, 50 MGM Bosco employees have been using the McEasy TMS system and 700 of its ground fleet are equipped with temperature sensors. Currently, McEasy has served customers in Java, Bali, Sumatra, Kalimantan, and Sulawesi. By 2022, this startup has set a growth target of at least 4x from 2021.
