Some of her most viral videos are 400 million fried rice, seblak [spicy and savory snack from West Java] ice cream made with her own ice cream maker, and a video where she used iPad as a cutting board.

Greysia Polii became one of the most viral and talked-about figures in 2021 after winning a gold medal in women's doubles at the 2020 Olympics in Tokyo with her partner Apriyani Rahayu.

Polii is also notoriously known as a friendly figure in the badminton world and is often regarded as ‘friendship ambassador’ among her fellow athletes.

In early November, news about a car crash that claimed the lives of Indonesian actress Vanessa Angel and her husband Bibi Ardiansyah sent the public to a frenzy. Both died instantly during the accident that happened in Jombang-Mojokerto highway road.

He went viral on the internet after beating Ghotamcess in online chess arena Chess.com. He was later found tohave violated the rules and, therefore, deemed to have cheated.

However, to prove his ability, he accepted a challenge from grandmaster Irene Kharisma Sukandar.

Akidi Tio

The last on the list is the late Akidi Tio whose child announced a huge amount of donation for COVID-19 handling back in July.

After his death, one of Tio’s children said she would donate Rp2 billion (US$142,857) to help South Sumatra in its COVID-19 handling effort, but it was later discovered to be not true. And this fraud case successfully put Akidi Tio’s name on the list of the most viral individuals in 2021.
