TheIndonesia.id - South Jakarta local government prepares to summon the management of Kota Kasablanka mall after it received air pollution complaints from the public.
Head of development and environment at South Jakarta government Iman Bahri said authorities are currently working to summon mall management soon as it looks to get clarification related to the reports.
“[Summons letter] will immediately be issued. We will confirm later,” Bahri said on Wednesday, January 5, as reported by Antara.
The local government already had meeting with related offices on Tuesday to follow up the reports.
While not confirming the date of hearing session with Kota Kasablanka management, he urged them to bring permit document related to the use of generator set, or genset.
Meanwhile, Tebet subdistrict head Dyan Airlangga confirmed the air pollution in Menteng Atas came during routine heating of the genset owned by the mall.
“Based on information, the genset is heated twice a week, and the process generated smoke,” Airlangga said.
Similar to Bahri, he said authorities will summon mall management, but in the meantime, his office will continue to collect and study reports from members of the public.
