TheIndonesia.co - The University of Indonesia (UI) Hospital has become the first hospital in Indonesia to have mobile digital x-ray which is equipped with artificial intelligence (AI) technology.
The installation of FDR Nano in UI Hospital is the result of collaboration with Japan International Cooperation Agency (JICA) through Fujifilm Indonesia to support the development and service in the hospital.
President director of UI Hospital Astuti Giantini said the installation will immensely help medical professionals at the hospital to deliver and improve their service, and it also shows that quality of health care in Indonesia is getting more advanced.
“The installation of innovative machine at our hospital will enhance the medical care provided for patients,” Giantini said on Friday, March 18, as reported by Antara.

FDR can diagnose a number of diseases, including atelectasis, calcification, fibrosis, nodules, pleural effusion, cardiomegaly, pneumothorax through radiographs.
Conventionally, x-ray can only be done with large-sized machine in particular room, and patients are required to move to another room or visit the nearest hospital. And the mobile digital x-ray ensures patients to stay in their room – with faster process and more accurate result.
Fujifilm Asia Pacific’s managing director Haruto Iwata said FDR Nano is the fruit of Fujifilm’s long-term commitment and work in health.
“We’re thankful and proud to introduce this solution for the first time in Indonesia’s leading hospital,” Iwata said.
