National Capital Authority Has All Governmental Authorities Except One

TheIndonesia.id - Ministry of Home Affairs conveyed that all the authorities needed by the National Capital of Nusantara would be handed over to the National Capital Authority (IKN). There is only an exception.

The Director-General of Regional Administration of the Ministry of Home Affairs, Safrizal, in the public consultation on Draft of Implementing Regulation of Law Number 3 of 2022 concerning IKN, monitored from Jakarta, Tuesday, said the exception is only on national strategic policy from the Central Government.

"The principle is simple, all the authority needs or government affairs needed are handed over to all IKN, the authority needed by IKN whether the authority belongs to the government, provincial, district, city governments are handed over to IKN, except for those that are national strategic in nature," he said as quoted by Antara, Tuesday, March 22, 2022.

National strategic authority cannot be delegated because it involves the national interest as a whole. In addition, according to him, another requirement is that IKN may not implement an authority if IKN considers that they should not exercise this authority.

Or, he continued, there are other opinions from the authorities, such as there will be a lot of business that will disrupt concentration on the nation's capital city development. IKN is expected to be realized soon with various accelerations so that the dream of becoming a symbol of the identity of the Indonesian nation can be realized quickly.

It is also hoped that the National Capital of Nusantara will become the pride of the nation and grow as a sustainable city. Safrizal hopes that IKN will become a driving city for the Indonesian economy in the future.
