Elon Musk Says Had Discussed Future Projects with President Jokowi

TheIndonesia.id - Tesla and SpaceX founder Elon Musk finally spoke about his meeting with President Joko Widodo and acknowledged that there were discussions on future projects.

"It was an honor to meet at Starbase and discuss exciting future projects," said Elon Musk in response to President Jokowi's tweet on Twitter on Monday, May 16, 2022.

The day before, Jokowi tweeted that he had arrived at the Stargate Space X Building, Boca Chica, United States, and immediately met the host, Elon Musk. In his tweet, Jokowi said they were talking about technology and innovation.

Elon Musk also answered Jokowi's invitation to come to Indonesia in November 2022. "Hopefully in November, thank you for the invitation," Musk said as quoted in an official statement from the Presidential Secretariat.

Elon Musk said Tesla and Space X will try several collaborations with Indonesia because according to him, Indonesia has potential in many fields. "We will see closely the form of cooperation in many ways because Indonesia has a lot of potentials. Moreover, Indonesia has a large population and continues to grow. This is good because we need a lot of people in the future," said Musk.

During his visit to Space X on May 14, 2022, Jokowi inspected the production facilities of the rocket manufacturing plant. He was also accompanied by Coordinating Minister for Maritime Affairs and Investment Luhut Binsar Pandjaitan, Minister of State Secretary Pratikno, and Indonesian Ambassador to the US Rosan Roeslani.
