TheIndonesia.co - The Greater Jakarta Metropolitan Police said, based on an investigation by the Directorate of General Criminal Investigation (Ditreskrimum), nearly 30 schools were affiliated with the Khilafatul Muslimin. Police cannot provide the name of the schools yet.
"We have data that there are nearly 30 schools that are affiliated with the caliphate teachings," said the Head of Public Relations of the Jakarta Metropolitan Police, Police Grand Commissioner Endra Zulpan in Jakarta, Monday, June 13, 2022.
Zulpan added that the suspect with the initials AS who had been arrested by the police became the person responsible for the affiliated schools. "This was done or the person in charge of the Khilafatul Muslimin mass organization is suspect AS that we have arrested earlier," said Zulpan.
Currently, the investigation process is still ongoing so Police have not been able to provide details regarding the names of the affiliated schools. Investigators from the Directorate of Crime Investigation at the Jakarta Metropolitan Police have again arrested a Muslim Khilafatul figure with the initials AS (74). AS was arrested in Mojokerto, East Java, on Monday morning at around 00.30 WIB.
