TheIndonesia.id - National Police Chief General Listyo Sigit Prabowo announced that Inspector General of Police Ferdy Sambo (FS) is a suspect in the murder case of Brigadier Nofryansah Yosua Hutabarat or Brigadier J. Ferdy Sambo is the fourth suspect in this case.
"The Special Team (Police Headquarters) has named FS as a suspect," Listyo said during a press conference at the Rupatama Building, Police Headquarters, Kebayoran Baru, South Jakarta, Tuesday, August 9, 2022.
In the murder case that occurred at the official residence of the Head of the Professional and Security Division of the National Police, a special team formed by the National Police Chief had previously named three suspects. First, Bharada E alias Richard Eliezer; second Brigadier RR alias Ricky Rizal and third suspect, KM.
Bharada E was charged with Article 338 regarding Murder in conjunction with Article 55 Paragraph 1 1 of the Criminal Code in conjunction with Article 56 of the Criminal Code. Meanwhile, Brigadier RR was charged with Article 340 concerning Subsidiary Premeditated Murder Article 338 in conjunction with Article 55 and Article 56 of the Criminal Code.
KM helped and witnessed the shooting of the victim. While Inspector General FS ordered to carry out the killing and developed a scenario as if there was a shootout or gunfight.
No Gunfight
Previously, Bharada E lawyer Boerhanuddin confirmed that there was no shootout in this incident. This statement contradicts the initial chronology that was conveyed by the police.
At the beginning of this case, the Public Relations Division of the Police Headquarters Brigadier General Ahmad Ramadhan said that Brigadier J first fired shots at Bharada E when he was caught allegedly sexually harassing Ferdy Sambo's wife with the initials PC. Ramadan at that time said Brigadier J had fired a total of seven shots with HS-type weapons.
However, it was claimed that none of the seven shots hit Bharada E.
"He (Bharada E) admitted that there was no exchange of fire, and even then there were projectiles or what was said to be an alibi at the location. So the weapons of the deceased were used to shoot left and right. They did not exchange fire with each other," Boerhanuddin told reporters on Monday.
On the other hand, Boerhanuddin also asserted that Bharada E was ordered by his superiors to shoot Brigadier J. Although he did not name names, Boerhanuddin said his client shot Brigadier J under pressure from his superiors.
"From the BAP (minutes of examination) and information to his attorney, he was under pressure to get an order to shoot," he said.
