The BNPB Disaster Management Operations Control Center (Pusdalops) remarked that thousands of landslide victims were residents across 27 villages in four sub-districts.
Based on the BNPB's analysis, weather modification would be sufficiently effective to reduce the high rain intensity and help SAR team to carry out the evacuation process.
The BNPB Head, Suharyanto said that the search period will last seven days.

TheIndonesia.id - The Indonesian government sent humanitarian aid worth Rp17 billion (around US$1.03 million) to victims of the landslide that hit Enga Province in Papua New Guinea (PNG) on May 28.
Personnel from Jakarta's Halim Perdanakusuma Air Base were seen today loading at least three containers of supplies onto a Garuda Indonesia Airbus A330 aircraft.
The humanitarian aid package includes essential items like medical equipment, portable generators, solar cells, cooking utensils, blankets, and sleeping bags.
"Over a month has passed since the disaster, so the types of assistance we send have been adjusted accordingly," said Coordinating Minister for Human Development and Culture Muhadjir Effendy on July 1, as quoted by Antara.
The devastating landslide has claimed an estimated 670 lives and displaced over 1,250 people. Disaster management efforts are now focused on rehabilitation.
Effendy expressed hope that the aid provided by the Indonesian government would ease the pain and burden of the victims and their families.
