He noted that the meeting discussed a plan of activities that will be carried out within the period of technical cooperation between Indonesia's Directorate General of Air Transportation and the DGAC of France, which is assisted by experts from Airbus and Bureau Veritas.
According to Mauludin, the cooperation covers the standardization of the competence of aviation safety and operations inspectors, risk-based mindset and supervision development, and National Aviation Safety Program implementation.
It also includes quality management system implementation and operational promotion and procedure development of Performance-Based Navigation (PBN) Required Navigation Performance Authorization Required (RNP AR).
He expressed high appreciation to the French Government for the continuity of strategic technical cooperation that has been developed, with the hope that the partnership could be a strong foundation for the future.
"The Directorate General of Air Transportation is committed to supporting every program that has been agreed upon in this Steering Committee," he remarked.
Furthermore, he continued, the directorate general is also ready to facilitate the DGAC's access to personnel, facilities, manuals, and data that are needed for the technical cooperation program.
According to the same statement, Director of Asia-Pacific Cooperation of the DGAC of France Thibaut Lallemand conveyed that the French government continues to be committed to supporting Indonesia in improving its safety monitoring capability.
