Indonesia Election Commission (KPU) forges to continue organizing next year's presidential election, defying a surprise ruling by the Jakarta District Court to halt all elections.
The National Democrat Party (Nasdem) has announced Jakarta governor Anies Baswedan as a presidential candidate for the 2024 election.
Prabowo has run as a presidential candidate in 2014 and 2019, as well as running as a vice presidential candidate to accompany the presidential candidate Megawati Soekarnoputri in 2009.
Baswedan and Pranowo are currently the governors of Jakarta and Central Java, respectively.
