Ghostbuser, an Indonesian 'Ghostbuster' Movie

TheIndonesia.co - If you plan to watch a horror movie, yet you are afraid of ghosts, Ghostbuser is an excellent choice for you. Created by Indonesian moviemakers, the movie is a resemblance to the famous Hollywood ghost hunter film, Ghostbuster.

Even though the movie was inspired and had almost the same name as Hollywood Ghostbuster, the film really brings out Indonesian "local wisdom." The ghosts that appear in the movie are typical Indonesian ghosts.

Ghostbuser tells us about Sigit, who was gifted to see ghosts. Initially, Sigit didn't really care about the existence of ghosts. However, everything changed after a ghost named Ningsih asked Sigit for help. Ningsih died because of a hit-and-run accident. She asked Sigit to tell her parents.

Feeling empathy, Sigit contacted his two friends, Alexandra and Genjing, to complete the mission. Starting from this mission, Sigit had a desire to open a ghosts hunter business. Moreover, Sigit often faced financial problems.

With the help of Ningsih and his friends, Sigit finally started to open ghost busting practice, explicitly communicating with ghosts.

Although the movie's name is almost similar to Ghostbuster film, the film brings out the "local wisdom" of the Indonesian ghost. For example, Sigit got a call for a mission in Desa Penari or Penari Village. Desa Penari is a village in an Indonesian urban story in which many ghosts existed. The place was widely discussed in Indonesia in 2019 after students told their haunted experience after doing community service there.

If you want to watch a ghost movie but you are too afraid to see it, Ghostbuser is an excellent choice. However, prepare yourself not to be surprised because there is a scary scene of ghosts appearing at the film's climax. You can watch the movie from the online streaming platform, Disney+.
