TheIndonesia.id - Racers participating in the Pertamina Grand Prix of Indonesia or MotoGP Mandalika 2022 received souvenirs in the form of spices, ingredients, and Indonesian special drinks. The souvenirs were symbolically handed over by President Joko Widodo (Jokowi) to the MotoGP racers, in Mandalika, Lombok, NTB, Sunday.
Coordinating Minister for Maritime Affairs and Investment Luhut Binsar Panjaitan said the souvenirs were a form of support from Indonesian spice and culinary business players under the coordination of the Indonesian Food and Beverage Producers Association (GAPMMI).
"We give this special gift with various contents ranging from rendang seasoning, Soto seasoning, chicken porridge, crackers, brewed spices to coffee variants," he said in a written statement in Jakarta, Monday, March 21, 2022.
For the last two years, GAPMMI has become the government's strategic partner in promoting Indonesian cuisine through the "Indonesia Spice Up the World" (ISUTW) Program. Several types of spices/ ingredients are packaged in specially designed souvenir boxes. The contents vary from rendang seasoning, Soto seasoning, chicken porridge, crackers, brewed spices to coffee variants.
Spices are the main attraction for Europeans to come to Indonesia. Perhaps through the MotoGP Mandalika, "Indonesia Spice Up The World" is also able to attract foreign tourists to visit Indonesia again to explore the culinary attraction of the archipelago.
