TheIndonesia.co - Indonesia plans to move its capital city from Jakarta to East Kalimantan Province (around 200 KM of Northeast Jakarta).
President Joko Widodo first announced the plan to move Indonesia's capital in 2019 to relieve Jakarta's huge environmental challenges and redistribute wealth. However, The move has been delayed due to the pandemic.
The new capital will be built in the East Kalimantan area, known for its jungles and orangutan population.
