TheIndonesia.co - The 5th of July is celebrated as 'Bank Indonesia' Day! The commemoration is related to the establishment of the National Bank of Indonesia (BNI) on July 5, 1946.
After Indonesia's independence on August 17, 1945, the Dutch came back and seized the bank that existed during the Japanese colonization, including the bank they established and took over by Japan, Nanpo Kaihatsu Ginko.
